My practice is concerned with the luminosity and relativity of colour within the field of painting.
I work primarily on aluminium and paper, producing paintings whose subject matter ranges
from all-over optical abstraction to symbolism drawn from scientific sources. My current work,
inspired by David Batchelor’s book The Luminous and the Grey, explores the significance of
neon and fluorescent colours, particularly in relation to Japanese culture.
